Hello all
Regarding the theory of zang fu organs I've got a couple of questions:
1. Many organs of the body have not been mentioned in the zang fu theory, e.g. pituitary gland, thyroid gland, peripheral nervous system, prostate, testes. What does TCM say about these organs?

2. The functions of spleen are quite new to me. Could it be that what is meant by spleen, in fact is not only the anatomic organ that we know as spleen, but also portions of liver function , like its effects on coagulation?

3. Nowadays there are many people who undergo splenectomy for some diseases like ITP or duo to trauma. From TCM point of view what happens to man when he is splenectomised?

Best regards
