There are different Qi exercises, some basic ones which are beneficial to the health and Qi in general and some special ones for enhancing acupuncture therapy in particular.
Generally speaking, the standing meditation (Zhan Zhuang) is the best one and the easiest to do.
You don't have to worry about the deviations during the Zhan Zhuang practice. You just try to relax and listen to your breath. That's enough.
Of course one needs to learn it from a teacher.

But can any standing form work since the basic principles are the same.

e.g breathing in yang qi from the sky and yin qi from the earth at the same time into xia dantian then breathing out to zhong dantian through the arms and through the sword fingers.

Should one experience deviations during zhan zhuang standing form.

What do you consider deviations.
