Difference between fear and fright

Among seven emotions there is "fear" and "fright". What is the difference between them? One is lasting, the other one is sudden?

What do you think? What is the literature meaning of these two words?

Yes, the word fear means somebody fears by himself/herself, while fright is the behavior of scaring somebody.

But I'm not really a native English speaker, so maybe I'm not right.
