How to reinforce and reduce when we use electric acupuncture? Are they all reinforce?

Peronally I don't prefer the electric stimulation, I mean the acupuncture needles in connection with an electric apparatus.
However, those who are doing electric acupuncture would think the low frequency and mild stimulation would be more of the way of reinforcing.
I prefer my manual manipulations of needles for I could control the stimulation.
It doesn't mean I'm objecting the use of the electric stimulator, for sure you could do it, but just in a proper way. I presume the natural stimulation according to the patients' tolerance would be the appropriate or optimal way.
