Tongue change during a day?

Dear Mr. Du and David,

An other question.

Recently I observe my tongue every day. I found it change during a day.

At the morning jsut after I get up, tongue is pale with white think coating. After lunch, it become red and almost no coating, it look much health. After supper, all the coatint is gone. Is the eating clean coating away and do some thing good to the tongue. Or it imply something else?

Yes, the eating might clean the tongue more or less!

So, to observe the tongue the best time is the early morning.

But the tongue body cannot change much so you may observe the tongue two hours after eating or drinking.
