Title: Question on Wei Phase

Dear R.T.,
Let's discuss yoru question of the Wei Phase.
That's a special way of differentiation of syndromes by which the febrile diseases are classified to 4 degrees, respectively affecting the Wei, Qi, Ying, and Blood. Here the Wei is more or less the equivalent to the exterior syndrome, but you don't have to worry about it. Please concentrate on the other indications of the herb.
In any sense, it's a stage of febrile diseases.
Hope it's a bit clearer to you.
Bye!
Best regards
M.H.

[quote:4d9428324f]Dear M.H.,

Can you please explain what is meant by 'at Wei phase' in the following statement which appears under Indications for Peppermint: To treat wind-heat affected by exogenous pathogenic factors, fever and headache or initial stage of epidemic febrile disease at Wei phase, peppermint is often used in combination with honeysuckle flower, forsythia fruit and other herbs.

Regards and many thanks.
