[b:a5be55630c]Question:[/b:a5be55630c]
I have a few questions about treatment with Moxibustion. I know Moxibustion is discussed in both Chapters C & D, but I am having trouble visualizing the different treatment modalities discussed therein. (Ex. Exactly how is the moxa cone placed on the different herbs or spices? What measures do in pecking to prevent burning? When you are using a moxa stick is there a concern about falling ash on the patient? Are certain products better than others? What products (specific manufactures) would you recommend and is there a place you know of where I can purchase these supplies to practice with them? etc.) Is there a video, book, or web site that you could recommend that shows the treatments actually being applied on patients?

As to the moxibustion, I should say it's not so complicated in China and the patients would cooperate well with the treatment. When they feel the heat from the burning of the moxa cones is to intense, they will tell the doctor, so a burning cone will be replaced by a new one. It's also easy to place the moxa cone on the herbs, just place it there and let it burn.
During the moxibustion treatment, both the patients and doctors should be careful on the falling of the ashes, so there should be some measures to prevent the harm of danger from the falling of the ashes. But it's not so easy to describe it by words, but when you see it, you may find it's easy.
In China, nearly all the moxa products are good, I don't know any one not good, so I cannot tell which manufacturer is better than the others.
In China, nearly in every herbal pharmacy there is moxa products available, but I don't know where you can find them in US, most probably in China Towns in different cities there should be the Chinese herbal pharmacies or acupuncture clinics, so the products should be available.
I don't know either the sale of the videos, books, and even websites where the moxibustion is applied on the real patients. So sorry.
It's my suggestion that one day you'd better come to China and see how the treatment of acupuncture and moxibustion is given to the patients. It's much clearer than the words.
