Dear Tommy,
In fact, it is called Tu Jing Pi in Chinese, or at least pronounced as so in Norther China.

The Latin name is Cortex Pseudolaricis and the English one is Chinese Golden Larch Bark .

It is mainly an external-use material, for some skin disorders.
It is warm, pungent, and poisonous.
