Dear Tutor

I have a question about the difference between heat and toxic heat. Does toxic heat mean when the condition leads to injury of the tissues?

Hi Equiterapeut,
You asked a good question!
When the heat is accumulated in the body for too long, it will become heat toxin or toxic heat. That's one condition. As we can see in the daily life, the food in summer would become rotten easily, and it could be extremely
toxic. So, when the heat toxin stays in one specific part of the body, it could cause the damage of the tissues therein, so that could be the skin eruption, e.g. boils, carbuncles, etc.
When the toxic heat stays in the blood, it would cause much more severe condition, and it could be fatal. (septicemia)
The toxic heat could be exogenous as well.
