Dear tutor
I am a little bit confused about the concepts of postnatal jing and postnatal qi.
As far as I have understood from the food we eat, two elements are derived: One is postnatal jing which is sent down to the kidney to join the congenital jing and make up the kidney jing. The second element derived from food is gu qi which is sent up to the lung to join the kong qi and make up the zong qi. Am I correct in my understanding?
Best regards

Dear Saho,
I think you have a correct understanding for this part.

In my personal opinion, the Jing and Qi cannot absolutely seperated, the Jing can be transformed to Qi, while the Qi can promote the generation of Jing. This is more explained when doing Qigong and internal sects of Chinese martial arts.

Best regards
