Dear Tutor,
Is that harmful for human body if we just formulate or making formula our ownself formula based on materia medica?

in my opinion if I just follow the rules for herbs that are contradiction, toxinity should not be used and it would be safe for human body, am I right?

is there any herbal formula for common disease like cancer, hepatitis, diabetics? Inside the material course F it only said for some category of syndrome like heat, cold, dampness and etc...

Regards,
Johan

Dear Johan,
If I were you, I would like to take as much practice as possible before making the formulas by myself.

The ancient formulas have been used for hundreds or even dozen hundreds years, by so many patients, a trial or test the modern medical doctors would never be able to fulfill.

For sure if you just make your own formulas by means of following the properties and functions of the herbal materials, it may be safe, but nobody would guarrantee the effect.

To treat diseases with herbal materials, one need to learn for quite a long period of time, nobody could expect to be an expert or specialist of certain intractable diseases by learning from internet for 6 to 12 months.

No way!!!

In China, in hospitals of traditional Chinese medicine, there are some special departments, for diseases such as cancer, hepatities, etc, and the physicians, who have studied for 5 years in university of traditional Chinese medicine and have been practicing for 5 years, are still taken as being green and inexperienced.

The syndrome differentiation is the essential basis for learning traditional Chinese medicine and to do the clinical practice, so no matter treating what condition or what diseases, this procedure must be done and is always useful.

Sure, we can never forget about heat, cold, dampness, etc.

Dear Tutor,
You were right. I think it is much easier to formulate herbal soap rather than herbal soup am I right?

Rather than making herbal decoction, i think treating patient using acupuncture is safer. because acupuncture doesn;t take any side effect am I right?

In fact i had one local master acupuncture who willing to teach freely. I had mastered basic diagnones like tounge and pulse., puncturing and healing some common diseases like fever, tootache etc. maybe I just focused on Acupuncture and moxibution treatment better.

this herbal course should become my references, in fact now aday there are many pill made chinese medicine and it can treat most all of the diseases

like in the materia medica said mahuang tang can treat fever and common cold. instead of doing herbal decoction, just use a pill made called 'shi re jin' and is very easy to use rather than ma huang tang

Got Englightened, Thank you tutor

Dear Johan,
I think you are also right!
The soup is prepared for intake to the body, while the soap is not really for eating!

Yes, to treat patients with acpuncture is much safer and easier, but if you want to have good effect with acupuncture, you must be very good.

It's very important to have a teacher to teach you face to face, so you are lucky to have this good chance.

But I don't agree with you that the herbal courses are just for your reference, in fact the herbal couses tell much more theories and principles of traditional Chinese medicine than acupuncture courses, and I think one day they will really help you understand traditional Chinese medicine and enable you to help your patients a lot.
