Chapter 2
Section 4.1 Yin and yang syndromes
States that hyperactivity is characterized by yang and yin syndromes. Is this correct or a typo?
Would hyperactivity be yang and hypo activity is yin? Or is the above statement true?
Please clarify.
Thank You,
Tamara
I read the text and find the mistake you were talking about!
It's indeed a typo.
" Generally speaking, so far as clinical manifestations are concerned, those characterized by excitation, fidgeting, [b:15f9c7d5b1]hyperactivity[/b:15f9c7d5b1] and bright complexion fall into the category of yang syndromes, while those characterized by inhibition, quiescence, [b:15f9c7d5b1]hyperactivity[/b:15f9c7d5b1] and sallow complexion fall into the category of yin syndromes"
The second hyperactivity should be [b:15f9c7d5b1]hypoactivity[/b:15f9c7d5b1] instead.
