Dear Tutor,
I noticed that there is not much or nothing at all written concerning the pancreas.
Was this organ completely ignored, forgotten or overseen by the ancient TCM practitioners or maybe not important? How do the modern TCM doctors handle this subject, especially with the rising of diabetics and the treatment according to the TCM philosophy?
Thanks for your help,
Egbert de Vries
Dear Egbert de Vries,
Yes, you are right!
That's a small and reasonable mistake in TCM.
In fact, this topic has been talked many times in this forum.
Of course the modern practitioners of TCM notice this mistake, as a matter of fact long time ago the scholars and practitioners of TCM realized it was a mistake but they didn't change the theory.
As to the diagnosis, here we are only talking about the fundamentals, but you are going to study more in the coming courses.
Bye!
Tutor
