dear tutor can i you give definition to the word cun , is it measurment of length

Yes, it IS a unit of length!

It's about an inch long, so it is translated as "body inch" by some people for the real Chinese inch (3.3333 cm) for daily life is longer than the British inch, while the cun (body inch) is around 2 or 2.5 cm.
