In fact, in China there HAVE BEEN indeed sucn clinical trials and it has claimd successful. <br />

But I never treated any cases of narcotic-dependence so I cannot tell you more details. <br />

From what I understand, in the West those clinical trials have not been so successful. <br />

There have been several systematic reviews published on using different forms of acupuncture for this problem, supposingly including all relevant clinical evidence of acceptable quality available at the time, all with negative overall conclusions. <br />

Conclusion <br />
This systematic review and meta-analysis does not support the use of acupuncture for the treatment of cocaine dependence. However, most trials were hampered by large loss to follow up and the strength of the inference is consequently weakened. <br />

I don't know the details of this subject, but I also heard of that acupuncture does work for the coccaine dependence, for sure auricular acupuncture alone won't work so well. <br />
