Treatment of sore throat

Dear Dr. King,
In the last part of the Course D, in description of treatment of sore throat for deficiency-heat syndrome the next method is recommended: “Select acupoints along the Lung and Spleen meridians”.
But in the part of etiology and pathogenesis is described that yin fluid fails to moisten the throat due to the deficiency of kidney yin and deficiency-fire.
Is there misprint – instead of Spleen meridian one must read Kidney meridian? All the more, described acupoints relate to Kidney meridian: Taixi (KI 3) and Zhaohai (KI 6).

Dear Sophia,
It's quite some time no hearing from you!
So nice to see you here again!
Personally I agree with you that the points should be selected from lung and kidney meridians instead of lung and spleen meridians.
Very often, kidney is taken into primary consideration for the deficiency heat, so kidney should be more apt for this disorder.
However, one point of spleen meridian is helpful here for this situation, that's SP 6.
Maybe the author of the text think more of the spleen as the mother organ for lung, so the spleen is taken herein instead of kidney. Anyway, I prefer kidney for spleen.
