Yin and Yang

Hi Tutor.
The Yang come from the sky and run in the body by the meridians from the upper to the down. The Yin qi come from the earth and run in the body from down to upper. So can I say the Yang go down and Yin go up?
But the Yang qi go up to nourish the brain. And the yin qi is weighter and go down.
How is the fisiologic direction of the yang and yin inside of the body?

Dear Wilson,
Yes, you are right! Yang goes down and Yin goes up. That's the tendency of movement of Yin and Yang.

It's not only the Yang Qi goes up to nourish the brain, what about the Yin blood and marrow?

Dear Wilson,
I would say physiologically the Yang Qi SHOULD go both down and up in a normal way!

Only when the Yang Qi goes up abnormally, that's the pathological condition.

Please do remember the principles or the features of traditional Chinese medicine, the integrated concept.
