3. Nutrient phase syndrome <br />
Nutrient phase syndrome is the third stage of exogenous epidemic febrile disease. It refers to the syndrome due to internal transmission of pathogenic febrile factors, consuming nutrient Yin and disturbing mind. This syndrome pertains to the severe stage of exogenous epidemic febrile disease. <br />
The character of Nutrient phase is appearance of macules and eruption, vexation, even delirium, which are all caused by long-term high fever. <br />

Clinical manifestations <br />
Severe fever at night, mild thirst, vexation, insomnia, even delirum, appreance of macules and eruption. Deep-red tongue, dry tongue fur and rapid pulse. <br />

Analysis of the symptoms: <br />

Macules and eruption are due to heat invading blood collaterals. <br />
